Your first focused block starts here

Completed focus sessions will appear in this private history.

Timestamp-based timing stays accurate when you switch tabs.
How it works

Focus deeply, then recover on purpose.

The timer provides a repeatable boundary for attention. The value comes from choosing one task, respecting the break, and returning with a little more energy.

  1. 01

    Name the focus

Write one clear intention, adjust the timer if needed, and start a protected block of focused work.

  2. 02

    Take the break

When focus ends, step away for a short break. After the chosen number of rounds, take a longer break.

  3. 03

    Build a sustainable rhythm

Use the daily goal and private history to track consistent effort without turning every minute into a performance metric.

A dependable focus timer

Flexible enough for your work, restrained enough to help.

Accurate in background tabs

The countdown uses a real end timestamp, so switching tabs or briefly sleeping the device does not accumulate interval drift.

Your preferred cadence

Set focus, short-break, and long-break lengths, choose the long-break interval, and decide which phases should begin automatically.

Helpful, optional alerts

Use a gentle sound, desktop notification, changing page title, and keyboard controls, while session history remains in this browser.

Pomodoro questions

Intervals, accuracy, automation, notifications, and privacy.

What is the Pomodoro Technique?+

It is a time-management method that alternates focused work intervals with short breaks, usually adding a longer break after several focus sessions.

Does a Pomodoro have to be 25 minutes?+

No. Twenty-five minutes is the familiar default, but this timer lets you choose focus blocks from 1 to 120 minutes and customize both break lengths.

Will the timer stay accurate in another tab?+

Yes. It calculates the remaining time from a fixed end timestamp instead of assuming every interval callback fires exactly on time.

Can breaks and focus sessions start automatically?+

Yes. Auto-start is controlled separately for breaks and focus sessions, so you can automate either, both, or neither.

Where is my Pomodoro history saved?+

Completed focus sessions and settings are stored in local storage in this browser. Toolkit does not upload your session names or history.

Why are desktop notifications unavailable?+

Your browser may not support notifications, or permission may have been denied. Permission can usually be changed in the browser's site settings.
