Useful and responsibly served

Detailed weather without exposing the upstream API.

Today plus seven past days

The same local-time weather series combines current conditions, today’s hours, and a full previous-week daily history.

Protected server access

Signed HttpOnly sessions, same-origin checks, request throttles, temporary IP lockouts, caching, and upstream timeouts reduce automated abuse.

Worldwide location search

Search international cities and postal codes through Open-Meteo geocoding, with alternate matches for ambiguous names.

Weather checker questions

History, sources, cookies, and request limits.

Does this show the past seven days of weather?+

Yes. Results include seven previous local calendar days plus today, using Open-Meteo's archived forecast data.

Which locations can I search?+

You can search supported cities, towns, regions, and postal codes worldwide. Ambiguous searches show alternate location matches.

Where does the weather data come from?+

Weather and geocoding data are provided by Open-Meteo. Recent past values are archived model data and can differ from a specific local weather station.

Why can I be temporarily rate limited?+

The tool limits rapid and repeated requests per browser session and IP address to protect the free upstream service and keep the checker available.

Does the cookie track me?+

The weather cookie is an HttpOnly, same-site access token with a one-hour expiry. It contains a random session identifier and expiry, not your search or location.

Can this be used commercially?+

Open-Meteo's public free API is licensed for non-commercial use. Commercial deployments need an appropriate provider licence or paid Open-Meteo plan.
