Countdown Timer

Keep several deadlines, breaks, recipes, or activities visible at once, with accurate timing and a clear alert when each one finishes.

Timers stay in this browser
How it works

Set it once, trust the finish.

Create the timer you need, then let timestamp-based timing keep it honest while you work elsewhere.

  1. 01

    Choose a duration

Use a quick preset or enter hours, minutes, and seconds. Give the timer a useful name so several countdowns remain easy to identify.

  2. 02

    Run one or several timers

Start, pause, add a minute, or reset each timer independently. The active display can be opened fullscreen when it needs to be visible across a room.

  3. 03

Get the alert or share the finish

Keep sound or desktop notifications enabled for completion alerts, or copy a link that opens the same named countdown toward a fixed end time.

A flexible everyday timer

Multiple countdowns without the clutter.

Several timers at once

Create up to 24 named countdowns for cooking, meetings, study, workouts, presentations, or any overlapping activity.

Accurate background timing

Every running countdown is anchored to a real end timestamp, so delayed browser intervals do not make the timer slowly drift.

Useful presentation controls

Quick presets, keyboard shortcuts, optional sound and notifications, a large fullscreen display, and fixed-time sharing cover both private and group use.

Countdown questions

Accuracy, sharing, alerts, and privacy.

Can I run more than one countdown at once?+

Yes. Each timer runs independently, and you can switch the large display between them without pausing the others.

Will a timer stay accurate in another tab?+

Yes. Toolkit derives the remaining time from the saved end timestamp rather than counting interval callbacks.

What happens if I refresh the page?+

Timers and settings are stored in this browser. Active future countdowns resume from their end timestamps after a refresh.

How do shared countdown links work?+

A shared link contains only the timer name and fixed end time in its URL. Anyone opening it before that time gets a matching running countdown.

Does Toolkit upload my timers?+

No. Your timer list and alert preferences stay in local browser storage, and no account is required.

Why did I not hear a sound?+

Browsers generally require an interaction before audio can play. Start a timer with sound enabled, and check the device volume and browser permissions.
