How it works

Build the roll, then watch it land.

The result is selected fairly first; the animation gives every individual die a clear, satisfying reveal.

  1. 01

    Choose the dice

    Use a quick d4 through d20 button or enter notation such as 2d6 + 1d8 + 3.

  2. 02

    Roll and watch

Secure random values are selected before the dice tumble, cycle through faces, and settle on the final result.

  3. 03

    Inspect the total

See every individual die, group subtotal, modifier, expected range, average, and the last ten completed rolls.

Animated, flexible, and transparent.

Animated dice reveal

Dice tumble and rapidly change faces before settling. Six-sided dice use pips while other dice use colorful faceted number faces.

Useful dice notation

Combine multiple groups and flat modifiers, roll up to fifty dice, and use any die from d2 through d100.

Secure independent rolls

Each die uses crypto.getRandomValues with rejection sampling. The animation only reveals the already-selected outcome.

Dice roller questions

Notation, fairness, limits, and probability.

Which dice can I roll?+

Quick controls include d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, and d20. Dice notation accepts any whole-number die from d2 through d100.

What dice notation is supported?+

Use one or more positive dice groups with optional flat additions or subtractions, such as 2d6 + 3, d20 + 5, or 2d6 + 1d8 − 2.

Are the animated dice fair?+

Yes. Each result is selected with cryptographically secure browser randomness before animation. Visual motion does not influence the outcome.

How many dice can I roll?+

Each group can contain up to twenty dice and a full expression can contain up to fifty dice.

What do minimum, average, and maximum mean?+

They describe the theoretical total for the current expression, including flat modifiers. Average is the expected mean across many independent rolls, not a guaranteed result.

Is roll history saved?+

History is kept only in the current page session. It is not uploaded and disappears after refreshing or closing the page.
