Let the coin decide

Tap the coin or use the button below.

Private and unbiased: every toss happens with Web Crypto in this browser. Session results and preferences never leave this device.

How it works

A simple decision, made properly.

The result is selected fairly before the coin moves. The rest (the lift, spin, shadow, sound, and landing) is there to make the reveal feel like a real toss.

  1. 01

Call it, or leave it open

Choose heads or tails before the toss if you want to test your call, or skip the call when you only need a decision.

  2. 02

    Flip the coin

Press the main button or Space. A Web Crypto draw decides the result before the 3D coin begins its animation.

  3. 03

    Review the run

See the current streak, session balance, recent tosses, and call accuracy, or simulate a larger sample instantly.

A better virtual toss

Fair underneath, satisfying on the surface.

A genuinely fair 50/50 draw

Each toss uses one unbiased bit from crypto.getRandomValues. Animation and sound reveal the result; they do not choose it.

A toss with personality

Choose gold, silver, or midnight styling, change the animation pace, and turn the synthesized flip sound on or off.

Useful session context

Track heads, tails, streaks, and call accuracy, then run larger multi-flip samples without losing the satisfying single toss.

Coin-toss questions

Probability without the common myths.

Is this coin flip really random?+

The result comes from the browser's cryptographically secure random-number generator. One unbiased binary value maps to heads and the other to tails, so both outcomes have an equal chance on each toss.

Does a previous toss affect the next result?+

No. Every toss is independent. A run of several heads does not make tails more likely on the next flip, even though results tend to balance only across very large samples.

What is call-the-toss mode?+

Choose heads or tails before flipping and the result panel will tell you whether your call won. Your call accuracy is tracked separately from the coin's heads and tails totals.

What does the streak statistic mean?+

The streak shows how many consecutive tosses have produced the current side. It resets to one whenever the result changes from heads to tails or vice versa.

Can I flip more than one coin at once?+

Yes. The quick simulation can toss 10, 100, or 1,000 coins instantly and report the totals and percentage split. These simulated tosses do not alter your animated session history.

Are my coin-toss results saved or uploaded?+

Results and preferences are stored only in this browser. Nothing is uploaded, and resetting the session removes the saved toss history.
